MC Peleng 8mm F3.5 fisheye lens
This rare Russian PL Mount Circular Fish Eye is designed to give a full 180 degree field of view on Super 35mm & APS-C sensor cameras. It gives a circular image which vignettes in the corners, or gives a circular image on a full frame.
It’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, meaning it’s well made metal structure is light enough to be used on most camera / gimbal combinations you may require. The resolution in the middle of the lens is sharp, with the close focus at 22cm and the min / max aperture at F3.5 / F16.
This lens comes with UV, Orange and Green filters that screw onto the back of the lens so you are not limited. There is good contrast and strong colour saturation with generous flares depending on the set up for your shoot. (Plus shooting with the lens wide open doesn’t cause any problems.)
If you’re looking to achieve some really unique images for your project (without breaking the bank!) then this fisheye is certainly worth a try.

This is a gem of a circular fisheye lens and we love it here at Media Dog Hire. It has a PL mount and is designed to work on super 35 or APS-C cameras to give a circular image that vignettes in the corners or gives a circular image on a full frame camera. It is made from metal and is pleasantly sized to fit nicely in your hand and it’s compact and not too heavy so can be used in most applications. The resolution in the middle of image if sharp and it has a real 180 degree field of view. There is good contrast and strong colour saturation and lens flare is kept well under control. It comes with UV, Orange and Green filters that screw onto the back of the lens so don’t create any issues to the image. Shooting with the lens wide open is not a problem for the lens and we feel it will give you some very interesting images for your project. The close focus is 22cm and the min / max aperture is F3.5 / F16. So if you need a fisheye or distorted extreme wide shot then give this lens a try.
