Kowa Anamorphic Prime Lens Set

Our Kowa-Prominar lenses are an incredible set of vintage 2x Anamorphic lenses that offer a low contrast and pleasantly warm and unique filmic aesthetic. They produce beautiful flaring and have unique characteristics that can really elevate a film to a different level.

Originally manufactured in Japan in the 1960s, using glass that can no longer be created, to produce incredible vintage images that you simply cannot achieve with modern lenses. Their lightweight and compact design makes them perfect for handheld and gimbal work, along with drones, however they cannot be used with mechanical follow focus as they are in the original housings, manuactured before motored lens control systems were invented and factored into the lenses design.

They can be made to flare easily but keep skin tones looking naturally warm and pleasing.

Our set includes focal lengths of 40mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm, with speeds of T2.3, T2.3, T2.8 and T3.4 respectively.
